Over the last 2 years Tommy has served as the Manager of Prevention Programs in Detroit's Department of Health and Wellness Promotion. He has worked tirelessly to raise community awareness and develop programs that reverse the trends of substance abuse that tragically impact so many friends and neighbors and families. His first step as manager was to develop data to effectively assess the problems which is reflected in the Prevention section of this report. "Government needs good data to effectively target programming and develop policies that deliver results", he states. |
